Through the years I have been given opportunities to create multiples of many of my original carved signs. When restaurant clients started asking for 10, 20, or even a hundred of the same sign that took me hours or days to carve, I realized quickly that I needed to find a better way to produce them. This led me in the direction of learning the art of molding and casting. A few video tapes, books, and lessons from friends who had molding/casting experience, and I was on my way. Since there are so many ways to mold and cast an original piece I am always experimenting with new products and techniques, but have found a few methods that have proven to be very reliable.
